As a small child, Susan loved finding the perfect home for her treasures.
As a mother, she recognizes organization is the common thread that
laces through her life and ties together her beliefs, her family and her
goals. Susan believes “organizing is a skill which lends you to wear sev-
eral hats effectively, to successfully achieve balance.”

Growing up on a farm with 12 siblings and only three bedrooms and one
bathroom, let’s just say Susan was organizing at a very young age.
Now her family has grown to more than 50 and her role has naturally
become the C.E.O. (Chief Executive Organizer).
She goes by number 10 and has adopted the motto of K.I.S.S. (keep it
simple and sensible) for her own family.

Prior to launching Fashionably Functional, Susan worked as a
consultant and designer, following several years in retail management
with an emphasis on relationship building and merchandising. She was
also a public relations and marketing practitioner, followed by a dozen
years in direct sales for America’s leader of the cosmetic industry. And
she has a decade of project management experience, cleaning and
organizing custom homes in the Twin Cities.

Susan’s educational background is in Mass Communications with an
emphasis in Public Relations, Advertising and Design.
She is a member of the Minnesota Chapter and the
National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO).
Organizing is a collaboration of her passion for order,
her flair for functionality and her knack for design!
